What the diagnostic covers
Ten questions spread across the four papers an 11+ draws on — maths, verbal reasoning, English and non-verbal reasoning — pitched to the year group you choose. Every question comes from the same verified engine the app uses, and every answer is derived by our checker rather than typed into a key, so a wrong answer is not something the test can show your child.
Most children are uneven: strong on arithmetic and shaky on ratio, comfortable in verbal reasoning and lost in non-verbal. Ten questions will not grade a child, and it is not meant to — it is meant to tell you which of those four papers to spend the next month on, which is the decision most families get wrong by guessing.
Common questions
- How long does the 11+ diagnostic take?
- About ten minutes. Ten questions drawn from maths, verbal reasoning, English and non-verbal reasoning, marked as your child goes.
- Which year groups is it for?
- Years 3 to 6. The questions are pitched to the year group you choose, so a Year 3 child is not measured against a Year 6 paper.
- Do we need an account?
- No. The diagnostic runs without an account and without a login for your child. You enter an email only if you want the written report sent to you.
- What does the report actually tell us?
- Which topics were secure and which were not, question by question — so the next few weeks of practice can start with the gaps rather than with whatever comes first in a workbook.
